For His Glory

For His Glory

How many times have we felt God encourage us to reach out to someone or do something specific and we didn’t? Fear of rejection can lead us to be more easily controlled by our pride than to listen to our Creator. I believe it’s human nature to sometimes have a difficult time fully committing to a path or decision God is leading us to make because we simply cannot see the full picture or the end result.

We have to remember though, there is nothing that we have received that didn’t first come through either something or someone He created. His sovereign hand is the One weaving all the intricate and intimate details together and He is doing so for His glory. While making decisions that glorify His goodness, we have to stay firm in our belief that  “…God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28),

Because of our decision to be obedient, God brings blessings and things which are beneficial to our lives. That doesn’t mean that all days or moments will be good. It also doesn’t mean that every time we do things that glorify God, there won’t be people there to tear us down. It simply means that we are choosing to let God be God. Through those moments of obedience, we are working toward the end results that God had set apart from the beginning.

Our lives are not about us. He also set us apart. We are called to point others toward His righteousness. Rest in the knowledge that even when facing challenging moments or setbacks, a steadfast faith will keep us on a path that ultimately points toward His goodness. Let’s be intentional in making our lives ones which are lived for His glory.
