Going into a new year feels different than it did a few years ago. The last two years have been riddled with fear, panic, unknown, loss, and far too many learning curves. As individuals, as a business, and as a community; we have felt them all. And we know the people around us have experienced these same challenges, heartaches, and disappointments personally. Although there were some beautiful parts scattered in, these years have brought us back to a place of remembering why we started Halo in the first place.
In 2014, we took a risk and opened a business. For anyone who has ever done this, you know the sacrifices, the hustle, and the long hours that it costs to do so. That's why it means so much to see the immeasurable support we've seen over the course of the last 7 years. There's something impactful about the way a community can be supportive of a crazy dream. And we're so grateful, I'm not sure we'll ever have the right words to express it fully. We've had so many people champion us along the way, and although we're so appreciative, it's never been our "why". Simply put, there has only ever been one source of inspiration that we kept coming back to, and that's Jesus. As people of faith, Jesus has been our constant, our vision, and our purpose in making Halo a reality. Today, nearing 8 years from the day we started, we're walking into 2022 with hope for the future, because with Jesus, the best is yet to come. Regardless of what this calendar year may bring us, we'll walk with our heads lifted, our hearts inclined, and our eyes on the one who has given us this promise of hope.
17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. 19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf.

There may be some bumpy roads ahead and even some detours, but we're holding fast to our hope. We're believing a promise that is so much bigger than Halo, but we're so humbled that we get to be a part of it. And we're inviting you along the journey with us. Let this year prove to be a year of hope, because the best is yet to come!
